About this session
Tourniquets have moved from military medicine into public access kit faster than the first aid at work syllabus has adapted, and employers increasingly ask whether they should be carrying one.
citizenAID sets out where the evidence stands, what the law expects of an employer who provides one, and what training has to accompany it.
You’ll leave able to
- State where the evidence currently sits on tourniquet use by lay responders
- Assess whether a tourniquet belongs in your workplace kit
- Cover the legal and training implications of carrying one
